I agree with his opinion.
Do you agree with the plan?
Formal and often used in official or written contexts. Implies giving consent or approval, not just personal opinion.
彼の提案に同意します。
I agree with his proposal.
Literally 'same feeling'. Used to express that you feel the same way, often in casual conversation.
「この映画、最高だね」「うん、同感！」
"This movie is amazing!" "Yeah, I agree!"
Means 'exactly' or 'that's right'. Strong agreement with what someone just said.
「もっと練習が必要だね」「その通りだよ。」
"We need more practice." "I agree completely."
Used for reaching a mutual agreement, often in business or legal contexts. Focuses on the process of coming to an agreement.
両社は価格で合意した。
Both companies agreed on the price.
Saying that a statement, story, or data matches reality or another source.
Used when two things match or are consistent, such as accounts, numbers, or descriptions.
彼の話は証拠と一致している。
His story agrees with the evidence.
このデータは前回の調査と一致しない。
This data does not agree with the previous survey.
Casual way to say something matches or fits. Can be used for descriptions, but also for physical fit.
その説明は事実と合わない。
That explanation doesn't agree with the facts.
Expressing that food, climate, or activity is good or bad for one's body.
Common expression for food or environment agreeing with one's body. Often used in the negative.
この食べ物は私の体に合わない。
This food doesn't agree with me.
この気候は体に合っていますか？
Does this climate agree with you?
More specific to stomach/digestion. Often used when talking about food causing stomach issues.
辛いものはお腹に合わないんです。
Spicy food doesn't agree with my stomach.
賛成する is only for agreeing with opinions or proposals. For facts matching, use 一致する or 合う.
彼の話は事実と一致する。
His story agrees with the facts.
