Colloquial, often used for things of poor quality, shabby appearance, or inferior grade. Can also describe a shameful situation.

  The food at that restaurant is really crude.

i-adjective

sly; crafty

Describes a person who is cunning or clever in a negative, underhanded way. Less common than the 'shabby' sense.

• 彼かれのやり方かたはおぞいな。

  His methods are sly.

i-adjective

disgusting; repulsive; absurd

Used for things that are gross, repulsive, or so bad they're absurd. Often overlaps with the 'shabby' sense in casual speech.

• その話はなし、マジでおぞいわ。

  That story is seriously disgusting.
