Used to emphasize an extreme amount or degree, often in the pattern これでもかというくらい/ほど. It conveys a sense of 'even with this much, is it still not enough?' and can be used rhetorically or humorously.

• 彼かれはこれでもかというほど食たべた。

  He ate as if to say, 'Isn't this enough already?'

• その店みせはこれでもかというくらいに商しょう品ひんを並ならべている。

  That shop displays its goods to an almost excessive degree.
