foolishly; thoughtlessly; with a silly grin

Describes laughing or smiling in a light, silly, or absent-minded way. Often used with 笑う or 笑みを浮かべる. Similar to ヘラヘラ but softer and less frequent.

  He laughed foolishly and didn't answer anything.
