Refers to the small dried grapes, often used in baking. Not to be confused with fresh currants (red/black currants), which are usually called カシス or フサスグリ.

• このパンにはカレンズがたくさん入はいっている。

  This bread has a lot of currants in it.

• カレンズとレーズンは似にているが、カレンズの方ほうが小こ粒つぶだ。

  Currants and raisins are similar, but currants are smaller.
