Onomatopoeic adverb describing a light, sharp sound: a small wave lapping, a whip cracking, or a slap. Often used with と.

• 小波さざなみが岸きしにピチャリと打うち寄よせた。

  A small wave splashed gently against the shore.

• 鞭むちがピチャリと鳴なった。

  The whip cracked with a sharp sound.

• 平ひら手てがピチャリと頬ほほに当あたった。

  A slap landed on the cheek with a smack.
