Kansai dialect term for a boy or young man from a well-to-do family, often with a slightly old-fashioned or affectionate feel. Similar to ぼんぼん.

Long ago, a boy from a good family lived in the neighborhood.
The exact derivation is uncertain; it is a Kansai dialect word, possibly a variant of ぼんぼん, which itself may come from 坊 (boy) reduplicated.
