pronoun
you (plural, familiar or derogatory)
Archaic second-person pronoun, usually plural, with a familiar or derogatory tone. Not used in modern Japanese.
「我人どもは何をしておるか」と古い文書に記されている。
In an old document it is written, 'What are you (people) doing?'
Compound of 我 (wa, 'I') + 人 (hito, 'person') + ども (pluralizing suffix). The exact historical derivation is uncertain; the combination may have originally implied 'we' before shifting to a second-person plural pronoun.
