Used when something catches one's attention or makes one want to know more. Often in the form 気をそそられる (passive).

• その本ほんのタイトルに気きをそそられた。

  The title of that book piqued my interest.

• その謎なぞめいた広こう告こくは人ひと々びとの気きをそそる。

  The mysterious advertisement piques people's interest.
