The English word 'faker' does not have a single direct equivalent. Using フェイカー is not natural. Choose based on context: impostor, counterfeiter, or online impersonator.

He was a fake doctor.

That person is a faker.
A swindler or con artist; emphasizes intentional deception for gain.
彼は詐欺師だとわかった。
I found out he was a con artist.
A trickster or charlatan; somewhat old-fashioned but still used.
あのペテン師にだまされた。
I was fooled by that faker.
A cheat or fraudster, especially in gambling or schemes. Less common in daily speech.
いかさま師がカードをすり替えた。
The faker switched the cards.
Specifically a forger of artworks or antiques.

The act of impersonating someone online; often used as a noun or with する. Common in internet contexts.

A cheater in online games; borrowed from English 'cheater'. Not a direct translation of 'faker' but used for deceptive players.
