The English word 'fraudster' is not commonly used in everyday conversation; 'scammer' or 'con artist' are more frequent. In Japanese, 詐欺師 is the most natural equivalent, but depending on context, more specific terms may be better.
詐欺師 is the general, neutral term for a fraudster. ペテン師 implies a more theatrical, smooth-talking con artist and is slightly dated or colloquial.
