A phrase used to clarify that a preceding statement should not be interpreted in a certain way. It is often used to correct a possible misunderstanding or to emphasize that something is not the case.
To explicitly state that a certain conclusion or implication is not intended.
A common pattern meaning 'it is not that...' or 'it does not mean that...'. It negates a preceding statement or assumption. The part before という can be a clause.
彼が嫌いというわけではない。ただ、あまり話したくないだけだ。
It doesn't mean that I hate him. I just don't feel like talking much.
お金がすべてというわけではない。
It does not mean that money is everything.
To make a statement less absolute or to avoid sounding too assertive.
A shorter form of というわけではない, used after a plain form clause. It softens the negation and is common in conversation.
忙しいわけではないけど、今は手伝えない。
It's not that I'm busy, but I can't help right now.
というわけではない is used to deny a specific interpretation or conclusion drawn from a particular situation. とは限らない is used to state that a general rule or expectation does not always hold true. The former is about a specific case, the latter about a general possibility.
彼が来なかったからといって、怒っているというわけではない。
Just because he didn't come, it doesn't mean he's angry. (specific case)

Means 'it is not necessarily the case that...' or 'it does not always mean that...'. Used to indicate that a general rule or assumption may not apply.
高いものが必ずしも良いとは限らない。
It does not necessarily mean that expensive things are good.
彼が来ないからといって、問題があるとは限らない。
Just because he isn't coming, it doesn't mean there's a problem.
Literally 'it does not mean that...'. More direct and explicit than というわけではない. Often used when clarifying the meaning of a word or statement.
それは「絶対にダメ」という意味ではない。
That doesn't mean 'absolutely not'.
この言葉は悪いという意味ではない。
This word does not mean something bad.
It's not that I dislike it.
A double negative pattern meaning 'it is not that I don't...' or 'it is possible'. It implies a slight possibility or willingness, but is indirect.
行けないことはないけど、あまり気が進まない。
It's not that I can't go, but I'm not very keen.
