Since 汎神論 is not widely known, it's often better to describe the belief: 'God and the universe are one' or 'God is in everything'.

Use 汎神論 in academic or philosophical discussions. In casual conversation, most Japanese speakers won't know the term, so it's better to describe the concept. You can say 「いわゆる汎神論という考え方で…」 (the so-called pantheism idea...) to introduce the term while explaining it.
