manifest, display, evident, clear
顯 centers on making something visible and unmistakable: to manifest, display, or become evident and clear.
顯 is the older traditional form of 顕. It combines 㬎 (a component associated with sunlight or visibility) with 頁 (head), suggesting something clearly visible or manifest to the head/mind.
The left side 㬎 looks like threads (幺) under the sun (日), making them clearly visible, while the right side 頁 is a head. Picture sunlight making fine threads manifest to the observing head.
For ケン, imagine a Ken doll displayed clearly in a shop window: Ken -> ケン, and the display makes the doll evident to everyone.
