noun
show-off; pretentious person; someone who always tries to look good
Kansai dialect term for a person who is overly concerned with appearances and always tries to make a good impression, often in a showy or pretentious way. Colloquial and slightly derogatory.
あいつはほんまにええ格好しいやなあ。
That guy is really such a show-off, isn't he?
ええ格好しいは損するで。
Show-offs end up losing out, you know.
From Kansai dialect ええ (good) + 格好 (appearance) + しい (suffix indicating a person with that trait). The しい ending is a dialectal equivalent of standard Japanese する人 or しがちな人.
