Primarily used in role-playing games to refer to a character class or job that specializes in stealing, stealth, and agility. Not a general word for a real-world thief.

  In this game, the thief can disarm traps on treasure chests.

• パーティーにシーフがいると、鍵かぎのかかった扉とびらを開あけられる。

  If you have a thief in your party, you can open locked doors.
