noun
tomobiki day; day lucky in morning and evening but unlucky at noon
One of the six traditional calendar days (六曜). Considered auspicious in the morning and evening, but inauspicious around noon. Funerals are often avoided on this day because it is believed that the bad luck at noon may 'pull a friend' (友を引く) into misfortune.
