母かか

Archaic or children's language for 'mother'. In modern Japanese, お母さん or ママ are far more common. This form may appear in historical settings or when imitating old-fashioned or childish speech.

• 昔むかし話ばなしでは、子こどもが「かか、かか」と呼よぶ場ば面めんがある。

  In old tales, there are scenes where a child calls out 'mama, mama'.

• 「かか」は今いまではほとんど使つかわれない古ふるい呼よび方かただ。

  'Kaka' is an old form of address that is hardly used nowadays.
