reverse sente
In Go, a move that would be sente (initiative) for the opponent but is gote (losing initiative) for the player making it. Often a defensive or endgame move that denies the opponent a bigger sente play.
This reverse sente is big, so you should play it immediately.
If your opponent plays a reverse sente, you lose the initiative.
