選せんする

A somewhat formal or literary transitive suru verb for choosing or selecting something. In everyday speech, 選ぶ (えらぶ) is far more common.

• 委い員いん長ちょうは適てき任にん者しゃを選せんする責せき任にんがある。

  The committee chair has the responsibility to select a suitable person.
