A curve formed by combining two perpendicular harmonic oscillations, used in physics and engineering to visualize frequency ratios and phase differences.
By observing a Lissajous figure on an oscilloscope, you can see the phase difference between two signals.

Named after the French physicist Jules Antoine Lissajous. The Japanese term is a direct borrowing, with the reading リサージュ approximating the French pronunciation and リサジュー reflecting an English-influenced variant.
