Attach to a noun or na-adjective. Expresses a wish that something were the case. Formal/literary.
もっと静かであればいいのに。
I wish it were quieter.
Attach to a noun or na-adjective in past tense. More colloquial than 〜であればいい.
今日が休みだったらいいのに。
I wish today were a day off.
All three express a wish, but 〜ばいい is general and often used for hypotheticals, 〜たらいい is more specific and colloquial, and 〜といい is slightly more formal and often used for hopes about outcomes. 〜ばいい and 〜たらいい are often interchangeable, but 〜といい cannot be used for past regrets.
English 'I wish that' does not directly translate to a single Japanese phrase. Using 願う (negau) or 望む (nozomu) can sound overly formal or literary. The patterns above are the natural ways to express wishes in daily conversation.

○ 彼が来ればいいのに。
Natural: I wish he would come.
Adding のに at the end of a wish expression adds a sense of regret or frustration that the wish is not true. It's very common in casual speech.
お金があればいいのに。
I wish I had money (but I don't).
日本語がペラペラに話せたらいいのに。
I wish I could speak Japanese fluently.
もっと早く言ってくれたらよかったのに。
