A common fungal infection of the feet. In Japanese, the standard term is 水虫 (mizumushi), literally 'water bug', but this is the everyday word for the condition. There are also more clinical terms.
水虫です。
I have athlete's foot.
The common skin condition between the toes or on the soles.
Do not translate 'athlete's foot' literally as 運動選手の足 (undō senshu no ashi). That would mean 'an athlete's foot' (body part) and would not be understood as the medical condition.
足白癬の治療には抗真菌薬が使われる。
Antifungal medication is used to treat tinea pedis.
