Literally 'meal terrorism', this slang term is used when someone posts delicious-looking food photos online, especially late at night, causing viewers to crave food. It captures the 'temptation' aspect of food porn.

Do not translate 'food porn' literally as 食べ物のポルノ (tabemono no poruno). This sounds unnatural and may be confusing or inappropriate. Use context-appropriate expressions instead.
For social media, 飯テロ is the most natural slang. For formal writing, use descriptive phrases like 食欲をそそる or 官能的な料理描写. 映え is best for Instagram-style visual appeal.
