Translation guide
A strong vulgar insult expressing anger, contempt, or dismissal. Japanese has no direct equivalent; the best choice depends on intensity, gender, and context.
Expressing intense anger or contempt toward someone, equivalent to 'Fuck you!'
A versatile strong retort meaning 'Don't mess around!' or 'Cut the crap!' Used by both genders, though slightly masculine. Conveys anger and dismissal.
ふざけるな!そんなこと許せるか!
Fuck you! I can't forgive that!
Extremely strong, literally 'Drop dead!' or 'Go to hell!' Very vulgar and aggressive, mostly used by men. Equivalent to the most intense 'Fuck you!'
くたばれ!二度と顔を見せるな!
Fuck you! Don't ever show your face again!
Literally 'Die!' Extremely harsh and direct. Used in intense anger, but can sound over-the-top or like anime/manga speech. Not recommended for real-life use unless you intend maximum offense.
Can sound cartoonish if used in real life; very strong taboo.
死ね!このクズが!
Fuck you, you piece of shit!
Contracted form of うるさい (shut up). Used to angrily tell someone to shut up, similar to 'Fuck off!' in tone. Very casual and masculine.
うるせえ!黙れ!
Fuck you! Shut up!
Telling someone to go away or leave you alone in a very rude way.
Literally 'Disappear!' A strong, rude way to tell someone to get lost. Commonly used by men.
消えろ!お前の顔なんか見たくない!
Fuck off! I don't want to see your face!
Literally 'Go somewhere!' A blunt, dismissive command. Less vulgar than 消えろ but still very rude.
どっか行け!話しかけるな!
Fuck off! Don't talk to me!
Archaic/rough command meaning 'Begone!' or 'Get lost!' Used in period dramas or by tough guys. Very strong and old-fashioned.
失せろ!ここから出ていけ!
Fuck off! Get out of here!
Expressing contempt or frustration, not necessarily directed at a specific person.
Literally 'Shit!' The most common general expletive. Can be used alone when frustrated, similar to 'Fuck!' or 'Damn it!' Not a direct 'fuck you' but conveys similar anger.
くそ!また負けた!
Fuck! I lost again!
Literally 'Damn it!' or 'You beast!' A strong exclamation of anger or frustration. Can be directed at a situation or a person.
ちくしょう!覚えてろ!
Fuck you! I'll get you for this!
Japanese lacks a single phrase that perfectly matches the vulgarity and versatility of 'fuck you.' Direct translations like ファックユー (fakku yū) exist but sound unnatural and are rarely used by native speakers. Choose an expression based on the specific intent (anger, dismissal, etc.).
Most strong insults are considered masculine speech. Women may use ふざけるな or 最低 (さいてい, 'the worst') instead. In formal contexts, avoid all of these; use polite but firm language like 失礼ですよ (しつれいですよ, 'That's rude').
