To ask someone with great urgency to take a specific action.
A common pattern: 'to ask (someone) to do ~ for me'. The くれ adds a sense of pleading for one's own sake.
彼に助けてくれと頼んだ。
I implored him to help me.
Both mean 'to implore' or 'to beg', but 懇願する is a general earnest plea, while 嘆願する often implies a petition or supplication, sometimes in a legal or official context. 嘆願する can also carry a nuance of lamentation.
彼は裁判官に寛大な判決を嘆願した。
He implored the judge for a lenient sentence.
Direct translations like 'インプロアする' do not exist. Use the Japanese verbs and patterns provided. Also, simply using 頼む (to ask) without an intensifier like 必死に or 懇願する may not convey the desperation of 'implore'.
