Means 'peep' or 'look into' often with a nuance of taking a quick or sneaky look. Can be used for looking into a hole, window, etc.

While 'look' is 見る, 'look into' as an idiom for investigating is not simply 見る. Use 調べる or other verbs above. Saying '問題を見る' sounds like you are just looking at the problem, not investigating it.
調べる is the everyday word for checking or looking up. 調査する is formal investigation (police, research). 検討する is careful examination often before a decision (business). Choose based on context and formality.
明日までに調べます。
