In Japan, many people air-dry clothes on a pole or rack (物干し竿/ものほしざお or 室内干し/しつないぼし) instead of using a dryer. If you say 乾燥機, it specifically means an electric dryer, not a drying rack.
乾燥機 can sometimes refer to a hair dryer in certain contexts, but ヘアドライヤー or ドライヤー is much more common for that. Use 衣類乾燥機 to be clear about a clothes dryer.
