Sea of Okhotsk
A marginal sea of the western Pacific Ocean, bordered by eastern Russia, Hokkaido, and the Kamchatka Peninsula.
The Sea of Okhotsk is covered with drift ice in winter.
From Russian Охо́тское мо́ре (Okhótskoje móre), named after the Okhota River. The Japanese name is a direct borrowing.
