hard link
Computing term: a directory entry that associates a name with a file on a file system, pointing directly to the same inode as another file.
Creating a hard link allows you to give multiple names to the same file.
Please explain the difference between a symbolic link and a hard link.
Variant with interpunct; less common in running text.
Borrowed from English 'hard link'.
