Surfing term for when the nose of the surfboard digs into the water, often causing the rider to fall forward.

• 波なみが急きゅうすぎて、テイクオフでパーリングしてしまった。

  The wave was too steep, and I pearled on the takeoff.

  To prevent pearling, you need to lift the nose of the board.
