noun
mild yankee; semi-delinquent suburbanite
Colloquial wasei-eigo term for a young person who stays in their non-metropolitan hometown after graduation, often drives a car, and may have a slightly rough or delinquent style, but is not a full-fledged yankee. Contrasts with urban youth who move to big cities and commute by train.
