A school of Japanese painting founded by Ogata Kōrin (1658–1716), active from the 17th to early 20th century. Also known as the Rimpa school.
Works of the Korin school are characterized by decorative and bold compositions.
From the name of the painter 尾形光琳 (Ogata Kōrin) + 派 (school/style).
