復ふく姓せい

Used when someone returns to a previous surname, most commonly after divorce or the end of an adoption. The する form is intransitive.

• 離り婚こん後ご、彼かの女じょは旧きゅう姓せいに復ふく姓せいした。

  After the divorce, she reverted to her maiden name.

• 養よう子し縁えん組ぐみが解かい消しょうされ、彼かれは元もとの姓せいに復ふく姓せいした。
