Rare, possibly dialectal or archaic verb for pulling something out by the roots. In modern standard Japanese, 引き抜く or 根こそぎにする are far more common.

• 古ふるい方ほう言げんでは、草くさをこぐと言いうことがあるらしい。

  In an old dialect, they apparently say 草をこぐ for pulling up weeds.
