Archaic term for a person who looks after trees, especially in a garden or estate. Not used in modern Japanese.

• 江え戸ど時じ代だいの大だい名みょう屋や敷しきには、木こ守もりと呼よばれる庭にわ師しがいた。

  In the daimyo residences of the Edo period, there were gardeners called komori (tree caretakers).
