Philosophical term, often used in Confucian or Neo-Confucian contexts to discuss the unity or relationship between knowledge and conduct.
The unity of knowledge and action is an important concept in Yangmingism.

Historical term from feudal Japan; refers to the governance of land granted by a lord, or the land itself. The reading ちぎょう is more common for this sense.
