Shinto term for the annual gathering of gods, traditionally held in the tenth lunar month (神無月) at Izumo Taisha, to discuss agriculture, marriage, and other matters.

• 旧きゅう暦れき十じゅう月がつには、全ぜん国こくの神かみ々がみが出雲いずもに集あつまり神かみ議はかりを行おこなうと伝つたえられている。

  It is said that in the tenth month of the old calendar, all the gods gather at Izumo to hold a divine conference.

• 神かみ議はかりでは、人ひと々びとの縁えん結むすびや農のう作さく物ぶつの豊ほう凶きょうが話はなし合あわれる。

  At the gods' conference, matters such as matchmaking and the harvest are discussed.
