Technical term used in computing and materials science to describe a structure or system with large, distinct components or particles. Often contrasted with 細粒度 (fine-grained).
粗粒度の並列処理は、タスクの分割が大きいためオーバーヘッドが少ない。
Coarse-grained parallel processing has less overhead because tasks are divided into larger chunks.
