potbelly stove; Daruma stove
A traditional Japanese cast-iron stove with a rounded, potbellied shape resembling a Daruma doll. Common in older homes and for heating.
My grandmother's house still has a Daruma stove.
In winter, we grill rice cakes on top of the Daruma stove.
