gold badge (esp. Diet member's badge)

Refers to the gold-colored badge worn by members of the Japanese Diet (parliament). Also used more generally for any gold badge, but the political connotation is strong.

• 国こっ会かい議ぎ員いんはスーツの襟えりに金きんバッジを付つけている。

  Diet members wear a gold badge on their suit lapel.

• あの金きんバッジの人ひとは有ゆう名めいな政せい治じ家かだ。

  That person with the gold badge is a famous politician.
