Refers to one of two options, without specifying which. Often used when the choice is not important or when offering a choice. どっちか is more casual.

• どちらか好すきな方ほうを選えらんでください。

  Please choose whichever one you like.

• どっちかと言いうと、私わたしは犬いぬより猫ねこが好すきだ。

  If I had to choose, I prefer cats over dogs.
