ぼやかす

make ambiguous; blur; obscure

Used when someone deliberately makes a statement, boundary, or image unclear or vague. Often implies intentional vagueness to avoid commitment or to soften a point. Related to 暈す (ぼかす) for visual blurring, but ぼやかす is more about abstract ambiguity.
