Operation Twist
A US Federal Reserve monetary policy from the early 1960s and revived in 2011–2012, involving selling short-term bonds and buying long-term bonds to flatten the yield curve.
The Fed implemented Operation Twist to encourage lower long-term interest rates.
From English 'Operation Twist', the name of the US Federal Reserve policy.
