Usage patterns

• 〈事こと〉までカウントダウンするto count down until an event

  新しん年ねんまでカウントダウンする。

  We're counting down to the New Year.

• カウントダウンが始はじまるthe countdown begins

  発はつ売ばいまでのカウントダウンが始はじまった。

  The countdown to the release has begun.

• カウントダウンに入はいるto enter the countdown phase

  開かい幕まくへのカウントダウンに入はいった。

  We've entered the countdown to the opening.
