Mimetic adverb describing the sound or action of swallowing something, especially a drink, in one large gulp. Often used with と.

• 彼かれはビールをごくりと飲のみ干ほした。

  He gulped down the beer in one go.

• 薬くすりをごくりと飲のみ込こんだ。

  I swallowed the medicine with a gulp.
