damping resistor
A resistor used in electronic circuits to suppress oscillations or reduce ringing, often placed in series with a capacitive load or across an inductive component.
In this circuit, a damping resistor must be added to prevent ringing.
If the damping resistor value is too large, the signal rise time becomes slower.
