Fisher's exact test
A statistical significance test used in the analysis of contingency tables, especially with small sample sizes. Domain-specific mathematical term.
When the sample size is small, it is recommended to use Fisher's exact test.
Chi-squared test, a more common alternative for larger sample sizes; Fisher's exact test is preferred for small samples or sparse data.
Named after the British statistician Ronald A. Fisher. The Japanese term is a direct translation of the English name.
