Usage patterns

• 〈場ば所しょ〉をライトアップするto light up a place (building, landmark, etc.)

  夜よるになると城しろをライトアップする。

  At night, they light up the castle.

• 〈物もの〉がライトアップされるfor something to be illuminated/lit up

  桜さくらの木きが美うつくしくライトアップされている。

  The cherry trees are beautifully lit up.

• ライトアップされた〈物もの〉a ~ that has been lit up (e.g. a building or tree)

  ライトアップされた東とう京きょうタワーを見みに行いった。

  We went to see Tokyo Tower lit up at night.
