Laue spot; Laue pattern
Technical term in X-ray crystallography; refers to the diffraction spots produced when a stationary crystal is illuminated with a polychromatic X-ray beam.
The crystal orientation can be determined from the symmetry of the Laue spots.
These Laue spots indicate that the sample is a single crystal.
